If you look at his numbers for starting in 2007, that would be great numbers for the best pitcher in the league, what he did.

Whatever he did earlier, he probably already was battling what he eventually pulled in his obliques. And he was rusty his first few starts after returning from DL. Look at his last couple of starts, he's starting to return to his form from last year, those are numbers you would take from any spot in the rotation, let alone his #5 spot.obsessivegiantscompulsivehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11362706004246875823noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23735245.post-14777680405635507432008-08-04T16:13:00.000-07:002008-08-04T16:13:00.000-07:00I think that corria's numbers have been horrible. ...I think that corria's numbers have been horrible. Maybe we should bring up a guy like English who has been exellent in San Jose with a record of 11-3 why wouldn't you want this guy. Just bring him in for the rest of the season and send corria back to the bullpen.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23735245.post-9231116907977918062008-04-14T07:12:00.000-07:002008-04-14T07:12:00.000-07:00Personally, I'd be exceptionally conservative in m...Personally, I'd be exceptionally conservative in my approach to getting Lowry back to the majors. His performances in ST were nothing short of frightening, and the word before his surgery was that nobody involved had ever seen this type of injury (or resultant surgery) in a pitcher before, so there's absolutely no template for rehab. He should spend a good long time rehabbing the muscles and ligaments and spend literally months getting back into pitching shape. And they should be easing him in with a lot of strict pitch count 1 to 3 inning appearances in the minors before they even think about putting him on the major league roster. Given the litany of nagging arm injuries he's had over the years, to me this is a young man who's career could be hanging in the balance with this rehab and he should be treated accordingly. There's no burning rush to get him back to SF in '08 anyway.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
