Any competition for the division league this year is purely a bonus situation. My expectations will be higher/stricter next year, but this year has been fantastic.stevebhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09185582735261464424noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23735245.post-79126230202794704152010-09-21T22:09:27.991-07:002010-09-21T22:09:27.991-07:00And, oh yeah, Posey!!!!!!

I would add the maturation of Jonathan Sanchez from thrower to pitcher to the list.

Yes, it will be great fun, you and I (and others who think like us) have had a fun summer this year.

And yeah, the D-ger fans couldn't be happy at all, for all those reasons. And their farm system has been rated much better than the Giants for the past 7 years at least, since we got Cain, at minimum. Yet the Giants is the one with a team where the core is all built from the farm system, and the pitching staff is largely home-grown.obsessivegiantscompulsivehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11362706004246875823noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23735245.post-83343844017308214392010-09-21T19:09:39.017-07:002010-09-21T19:09:39.017-07:00I already consider this season a success for the G...I already consider this season a success for the Giants- in the thick of the pennant race plus the successful graduation of 2 very good prospects. What happens from here on out will be largely due to luck, who is hot when and pitching matchups. It will be fun to watch.

Anybody who is depressed or frustrated, put yourself in the place of a Dodger fan- out of the pennant race, regressing young stars, an otherwise rapidly aging team, no recent graduations from the farm system and no imminent prospects plus a horrible ownership situation. Now THAT would be reason to be depressed and frustrated!DrBGiantsfanhttp://www.whenthegiantscometotown.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.com
